As moste peple (reading this anyway) will be aware, Mike Reid has passed on. I love the BBC's final summary of his life:

That was Mike Reid saying 'Runaround'.
I admired the "Have Your Say" comment from a reader somewhere on the Essex/fiction border.
It was along the lines of "I will mis him i liked it best wen he was maried to Pat but still seein Peggy."
He was certainly admired greatly by the illiterate and will be sadly mussed.
